Thank you ... A big thank you for supporting our residents' association in 2021; We wish everyone a very happy and safe Christmas !! AGM Meeting December 7 2021 Thank you also to everyone who participated in our association AGM December 7th (by Zoom).This is a link to the meeting minutes. Three motions were approvedAdoption of the draft constitutionCommittee for 2022 approvedVoluntary subscription of €20 approvedThe last motion is for collection of a voluntary contribution per household towards the modest association running costs (insurance, website, events, print etc).In 2021 we were able to meet the running cost through support from DLR and previously collected funds (pre-2019).  A card payment service is available on the website. In addition, a card reader service is available.

Halloween Social Event

Halloween Social Are you up for a social scare?On Sunday the 31st at 4pm, our estate will be taken over by Ghouls, Ghosts, Goblins and many more frightening creatures big and smallOur residents association will be hosting a Halloween socialbeverages and cake for the adultsgoodies, face painting, games, costume prizes and more for the kidsan entertainer and magician on hand to cast wicked spells "Finite Incantatem"Location is top of Westbrook Road.Everyone is welcome !Fingers crossed the weather will behave for our social event tomorrow!If anyone with younger kids would like to do ‘Halloween Bingo’, this is a link to a card that can be filled out.Nine houses across Highfield and Westbrook will have 'to find' scary posters up from 4pm Saturday.Event is 4pm Sunday and we will have a kids entertainer 4 - 5pm .. top of Westbrook Road !

Frankfort Castle – Submission to ABP

Submission to An Bord Pleanála Our association has made a Submission to An Bord Pleanála re the proposed development at Frankfort Castle. The submission document is available hereMany residents have concerns with this development and the submission reflects feedback received from several residents and those directly affected adjacent to the development.October 7 is the final day for submissions to An Bord Pleanála.We encourage all residents with a view to make individual submission through https://online.pleanala.ie/en-ie/housing/observation

Frankfort Castle Development

Planning application lodged to An Bord Pleanála on 03/09/2021 A planning application has been lodged for the development of Frankfort Castle site adjacent to Highfield Park. Details of the planning submission can be found here http://www.frankfortcastleshd.com/ The window for submissions or observations to An Bord Pleanála is within five weeks of the application date. Our association will be making a submission on behalf of our community, with details to follow. There are a group of residents from Highfield Park (adjacent to the proposed development) who are working together to understand the impact and their priorities for a submission to ABP. Our association will work with these residents to understand the issues and prepare an association submission. The website http://www.frankfortcastleshd.com/ contains a lot of information, with some main points The site comprises of Frankfort Castle, Frankfort Lodge and Highfield Park 97a The proposal is for 115 units in 3 apartment blocks ranging in height from three to five stories 77 car parking spaces (of which 67 at basement level) Block C backs directly on to Highfield Road houses 99 to 113 There is potential for pedestrian/cycle access to Highfield Park through the laneway in front of 97a Highfield Park The existing Frankfort Castle buildings are being retained We encourage anyone with a view to make an individual submission to An Bord Pleanála Councillor Jim O’Leary will be holding a Zoom call Tuesday September 21st @ 7pm to outline the application and provide advice on how to make a submission to ABP.  Contact details for Jim O’Leary and details of how to register for the Zoom call are attached. Highfield & Westbrook Tidy Up

Let’s spruce up our neighbourhood! When Sunday 30th May @ 11am Westbrook Road (opposite no. 7) What All (especially kids) with green fingers can pick up your free seeds, soil and environment friendly pots. There will also be a draw to win an Eco-Friendly Bug House. Adult volunteers, we need you to help clean up the verges and help paint the bridge railings Everyone who can, it is a perfect time to spruce up your front garden and say hello to your neighbour who might be doing the same!! Waste bags and equipment to support the tidy up will be available. All are asked to please follow social distancing guidelines
